Barrister Shehrin Salam Oishee, was elected as the director of the BGMEA by getting 44 votes (1022) from the panel of the Sammillita Parishad. The election was held on Sunday, April 4 at the Radisson Hotel in the capital Dhaka and at the BGMEA regional office in Chittagong. After voting from 9 am to 6 pm, the results of the election were announced on Sunday at 12:30 pm by the Chairman of the Election Management Board, Professor Farhat Anwar.
Barrister Sehrin Salam Oishee, director of Envoy Group, the country’s second generation entrepreneur, has won the BGMEA election by a huge margin of votes, becoming the youngest candidate in the history of this large business organization for the first time.
She is the only daughter of former star footballer, renowned businessman, former BGMEA president and Khulna-4 seat’s MP Abdus Salam Murshedy.
