At least four persons, including two Chinese nationals, were injured as a part of launching girder of Bus Rapid Transit project collapsed near Dhaka airport on Sunday morning.
The identities of the injured could not be known immediately.
Chief QC engineer of BRT project Abdur Rahman told Banglanews that the launching girder collapsed around 10:30am at Airport Railway Station area on Dhaka – Mymensingh Highway near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
Being informed, members of fire service rushed the spot and rescued the injured and sent them to hospitals, Shafikul Islam, an official of Kurmitola Fire Service Station said.
Among the injured, three were admitted to Evercare Hospital and another one to National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Nitor), popularly known as Pangu Hospital, he said.
