New Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh arrives in Dhaka on Monday

Newly-appointed Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Kumar Doraiswami reached Bangladesh on Monday morning.
He came to Bangladesh through Brahmanbaria’s Akhaura International Immigration Checkpost at 10am.
Doraiswami is expected to reach Dhaka by this afternoon.
He has replaced Riva Ganguly Das.
Hailing from Tamil Nadu in India, Vikram had his Masters degree in history from Delhi University. He can converse in Chinese and Urdu, and knows a little bit of French as well.
Doraiswami joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1992 and now serving as additional secretary of External Affairs Ministry.
