Journalist Muhammad Jahangir no more

Imminent journalist Muhammad Jahangir passed away on Wednesday (July 10).

Muhammad Jahangir breathed his last at 12:40 am at Asgar Ali Hospital in Gandaria of Dhaka.

He had long been suffering from Myelofibrosis (blood cancer). He was put on life support at the hospital since 11 am on July 8.

According to his son Apurba Jahangir, body was preserved in the morgue. Family will make decisions about namaj-e-janaza and burial later.

Muhammad Jahangir began his journalistic career in print media at the start of 1970.  Later, he got involved in electric media. Besides, he was engaged in cultural circle.

He was a member of the executive committee of the International Theatre Institute (ITI) and also a member of the Theater Drama group. He was a coordinator of Nrityanchal Dance Company.
