Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, who has been undergoing treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hosptial in Singapore, was shifted to cabin from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Wednesday (Mar 13).

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Director Dr Abu Naser Rizvi, came up with the development after Dr Sivathasan Cumaraswamy, cardiothoracic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital informed the latest update about Quader’s health condition to the family members.
“Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, has been shifted to cabin from the ICU of the hospital today. Liquid food is being served to him,” he added.
Isratunnesa Quader, wife of AL general secretary Quader, and Mostafizur Rahman, Bangladesh High Commissioner to Singapore, were present during the time.
Earlier on March 4, the minister who had been undergoing treatment at BSMMU Hospital since early Sunday (Mar 3) was taken to Singapore by an air ambulance as per advice of World renowned cardiologist Dr Devi Shetty.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader was admitted to the Critical Coronary Unit (CCU) of BSMMU Hospital after he felt breathing problems and chest pain.
He was diagnosed with blockages coronary arteries.
