BAF training aircraft crashes in Jessore

A training aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) crashed in a water body in Sadar upazila of Jessore tonight.

The aircraft crashed at Bukbhora Baor of Faridpur village around 9:20pm after it took off from the BAF Base Matiur Rahman, Alamgir Pathan, manager at Jessore Airport, told UNB.

There were two pilots in the aircraft, he said, adding that it could not be known what happened to their fate.

Police and firefighters started for the spot, said Abul Bashar Miah, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station.
